Newsroom (October 11, 2020 4:50 pm Gaudium Press) — Fourteen children whose mothers at one time considered the option of abortion were baptized last September in Madrid, by Cardinal Carlos Osoro.
They were aided by the Más Futuro Association, a Catholic organization that offers support to expectant mothers and mothers in need.
The baptism took place on September 27th in the parish of St. Josemaria Escriva. Among the children were a six-year-old girl, two boys of four, and 11 children under one-year-old.
A total of 23 children should have been baptized. They were unable to attend because they were waiting for the coronavirus test results.
Cardinal Osoro had words of special praise for the mothers: “You have chosen life, we know that death will come, but you have chosen life. The Cardinal took advantage of the opportunity to give those present a detailed, step-by-step catechesis.
Present at the sacrament, there were also some volunteers from the Asociación Más Futuro; they pray in front of abortion clinics in Madrid, and offer alternatives to women considering abortion.
