Entitled as the ‘Korean Church Social Confidence Survey 2023‘, the census was conducted between January 11 and 15 on the peninsula, and surveyed nearly 1,000 people, men and women, over the age of 19.
Higher Levels of Confidence Among Higher-Income Respondents
Among those interviewed, 21.4% said they had more confidence in Catholicism compared to other religions in the country. Protestantism ranked second with 16.5%, while Buddhism ranked third with 15.7%.
The survey report also provided an analysis of the respondents’ level of trust based on their income levels. High-income respondents trust Catholicism more, while low-income respondents find Protestantism more trustworthy.
