Celebrations at the Sanctuary of Padua now available on Internet

The initiative will offer St. Anthony of Padua devotees the opportunity to follow the celebrations and visit the Italian Basilica virtually.

Devotees of Saint Anthony will be able to follow the celebrations virtually

Begun during 2020, the interactive website offers the devotees of St. Anthony of Padua opportunity to follow the celebrations of the Feast, through their tablets or cell phone, but also the possibility of attending Holy Masses, praying at the tomb of the Saint, writing a prayer to Saint Anthony, lighting a virtual candle, making a donation to Caritas Sant’Antonio for solidarity projects, receiving Saint Anthony’s blessed bread at home and even personalizing a ‘holy card’ with the devotee’s name.

2020: 4 million virtual visitors

In 2020 the site achieved enormous success, being visited by more than 4 million devotees from all over the world. Because of this, the site www.13giugno.org is back during the festivities of St. Anthony of Padua in 2021. Besides attending the Eucharistic celebrations, the faithful will also follow the Pilgrimage of the Saint’s Relics that will travel from the Basilica della Salute in Venice to the Sanctuary in Padua.

Italian and English languages

This year, to reach even more devotees of St. Anthony of Padua around the world, the site also offers the possibility of being read in English and Italian. In addition, the site offers live broadcasts subtitled in English, and one of the Holy Masses will be celebrated entirely in this language. So far, more than three thousand people from different countries have registered on the site. (EPC)
