The initiative of the World Apostolate of Fatima is a way of spreading and encouraging Marian devotion around the world.

Newsroom (01/09/2023 14:03, Gaudium Press) At the beginning of September, a replica of the Chapel of Apparitions of the Portuguese Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima will be consecrated in the Czech Republic.
The ceremony, which will be attended by representatives of the bishops’ conferences of thirteen central and eastern European countries, is scheduled to take place on September 2, the Saturday of the Sacred Heart of Mary, and will be followed by a theological symposium.
The ceremony will include important presences
Among the participants who have confirmed their presence at this historic event are: the Archbishop Emeritus of Prague, Cardinal Dominik Duka; local Bishop Jan Vokal of Königgrätz; and the Nuncio to the Czech Republic, Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo.
Also present, representing the ‘Apostolate of Fatima’: the rector of the Shrine of Fatima, Father Carlos Cabecinhas; and the Secretary General of the World Apostolate of Fatima, Nuno Prazeres.
Construction of replicas of the Chapel of the Apparitions around the world
The World Apostolate of Fatima promotes Marian devotion in various countries. The construction of replicas of the Little Chapel of the Apparitions around the world is a way of encouraging the faithful to turn to Mary’s intercession and ask for graces.
The concept of these replicas was designed by Dominga Guzmán Florit, Foundress of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of Fatima. According to the president of the World Apostolate of Fatima, Américo Pablo López Ortiz, Africa is still waiting for the possibility of also receiving a replica in its territory. (EPC)
