Mexico City (October 10, 2022, 3:10 PM, Gaudium Press) As part of the celebrations for the 500th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe, on October 8, the Pedro López Elías Cultural Center will inaugurate an exhibition telling the story of this Marian devotion.

Santa María de Guadalupe: 500 years in Mexican history
Entitled as “Santa Maria de Guadalupe: 500 years in Mexican history”, the exhibition will present more than 50 historical books about the Virgin of Guadalupe, who from December 9 to 12, 1531 miraculously appeared to the Indian San Juan Diego on the hill of Tepeyac, Mexico.
For this exhibition, which will be held within the framework of the Colloquium “History, Culture and Faith”, an interactive virtual gallery and a display of some works by painter Manuel Espintla have also been prepared.
Santa María de Guadalupe, Patroness and Forger of the New World
Father Eduardo Chavez, a leading expert on the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe and postulator of the cause of canonization of St. Juan Diego, will give a masterful conference entitled “Santa Maria de Guadalupe, Patroness and Forger of the New World.” (EPC)
