Among the activities of this meeting, moments of reflection were planned with the following leaders of the French Church: Archbishop Laurent Ulrich, Archbishop of Paris; Archbishop Eric de Moulins-Beaufort, Archbishop of Reims and president of the Conference of Bishops of France; and Cardinal Jean-Marc Aveline, Archbishop of Marseille.
Renewal of baptismal promises and Apostolate for Paris
On Saturday morning, December 2, at 8:30 a.m., all the faithful were invited to participate of a great adoration vigil at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre.
On the afternoon of the same day, the seminarians met “a world that doesn’t know God”. In this manner, future priests had an opportunity to do apostolic work in the French capital. touching people in precarious situations or with some kind of disability.
Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
The meeting concluded with a Holy Mass presided over by the Archbishop of Marseille, Monsignor Jean-Marc Aveline, at 11 am in the church of Saint-Sulpice, which has replaced Notre Dame pending its reopening. The coordinator of the activity, Father Thomas Poussier, hopes that his seminarians were able to “rediscover their discernment by consecrating themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus”. (EPC)
