Newsroom(04/07/2022 21:10, Gaudium Press) The Shrine of Fatima, Portugal, has announced the theme of the Summer Course 2022, which will take place between July 6 and 8, at the Paul VI Pastoral Center.
Biography of Saint Jacinta Marto
According to the organizers of the initiative, during the event the biography of Saint Jacinta Marto will be studied in depth, analyzing the spirituality and the religious and historical context of this important person of Fatima.
The opening session will be attended by the rector of the Shrine of Fatima, Father Carlos Cabecinhas and the coordinator of the Summer Courses of the Shrine of Fatima, Marco Daniel Duarte.
Program of the Course
The program of this first day will also include a series of lectures with scholars on the historical context of the apparitions of Fatima. The day will end with a visit to Casa das Candeias, the museum center of the Francisco and Jacinta Marto Foundation.
On July 7, lectures will be held on “The religious congregations inspired by the Message of Fatima” and “The portraits of Jacinta Marto in the sources of Fatima. Finally, there will be a visit to the House of Saint Francis and Saint Jacinta Marto.
Finally, on July 8, the Rector of the Shrine of Fatima, Father Carlos Cabecinhas, will give a talk entitled: “The Spiritual Portraits of Saint Jacinta Marto. A draft of a biography of Jacinta Marto will also be presented. And during the closing session the Acts of the Symposium “Fatima, today: thinking about holiness” will be presented. (EPC)
