Sponsored by the Dicastery for Communication, the Portuguese capital will host the world’s first festival dedicated to Catholic influencers.

Newsroom (13/07/2023 13:30, Gaudium Press) Shortly after the Way of the Cross of World Youth Day, which will be attended by Pope Francis, the Festival of Catholic Influencers will take place in the “Cristonautas Park”, in Martim Moniz Square, in Lisbon.

The meeting will take place on August 4, with the presence of Monsignor Lucio Adrián Ruiz, secretary of the Vatican Dicastery for Communication, and Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga.

The Catholic Influencers Festival will be a special occasion to celebrate communion, share stories, pray, and sing.

The event aims to thank and encourage “digital missionaries” from around the world who interact and transmit the Good News of the Gospel through their social networks.

Influential Catholic figures from different continents will be present and will present their music and experiences.

The event is open to all who wish to attend, but influencers will have a special area reserved for them. To do so, influencers must register in advance via the event’s official website.

Participation via Zoom can also be contemplated for those who will not be able to go to Lisbon. Among the influencers invited to the event are laypeople, nuns, religious, and priests who share their faith through digital media. (FM)
