Fr. Torres Ruiz spoke to ICA media regarding his ministry as an exorcist, pointing out that the human being is “naturally religious”.
Newsroom (07/04/2022 09:00, Gaudium Press) Fr. Francisco Torres Ruiz of the Diocese of Plasencia, Spain, is head of the ministry of exorcism there.
Fr. Torres Ruiz, speaking to ACI Prensa media outlet, confirms his affirmation of a great truth in stating that the human being is “naturally religious”.
“Religiosity is something natural to the human person himself and therefore, as a human dimension, it also seeks to be filled.” Filled with either good or not such good things.
“The problem is where we seek to quench this thirst for eternity, or this restlessness for transcendence,” he warns.
It can happen, as explained by the prophet Jeremiah, that “instead of going to the wells of living water, we look in cracked cisterns“. Following this, the deteriorated water that we drink, which is often what we drink when we move away from God, will bring the exact consequences which can open doors for the action of the devil.
If the human being walks by true faith, he has found the way to happiness.
“But certainly today there are more cases of diabolical action because the loss of faith in the West has led people and many societies to quench their thirst for transcendence, their natural religiosity, in places and practices that are inadvisable,” said Fr. Torres Ruiz, speaking realistically from his experience as an exorcist.
