Newsroom (17/11/2024 12:00, Gaudium Press) Last August, the Militia of the Immaculate, founded in 1917 by St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe with the purpose of winning the whole world to Christ, promotes activities in honor of its founder, whose liturgical feast is celebrated on August 14.

The special program promoted by the headquarters of the Militia of the Immaculate in São Bernardo do Campo (SP) began with the Forgiveness of Assisi on the 2nd. Last August on the 3rd and 4th, there was a retreat for new consecrated people, in the method of St. Maximilian Kolbe, with the spiritual direction of Friar Sebastian Benito Quaglio, International Guardian of the Charism of the Militia of the Immaculate.

He had an extraordinary illumination from the Holy Spirit to the point where he defied all human logic by saying: ‘I want to conquer the whole world for Christ, with the protection and mediation of the Immaculate Virgin. See how Maximilian Kolbe saw Our Lady. The visible tenderness of God. And this maternal face, this divine tenderness, he understood to be the key that could lead humanity to Christ,” commented Friar Benito Quaglio.
Special program
On August 11, 2024 a was held at 5 p.m. in the Oratory of the Militia of the Immaculata headquarters, the Triduum in honor of St. Maximilian Kolbe will begin, which continued on the 12th and 13th during the 8:15 a.m. and 8 p.m. Masses.
The main celebration of the month took place on August 14, the feast day of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe. On that date, the faithful gathered in the Oratory at the headquarters of the Militia of the Immaculate at 8.15am and 8pm to celebration the Holy Mass, with the blessing of families. On August 18th, 2024 at 7am, 10.30am and 5pm in the Oratory at the Militia of the headquarters in São Bernardo do Campo. (EPC)
