The high number of confirmed young people is largely due to the many Catholic schools in the parish.

Newsroom (11/22/2021 12:15pm, Gaudium Press) The Apostolic Administrator of Nairobi, Bishop David Kamau, presided over a ceremony in which the sacrament of confirmation was administered to more than 300 young and adult Catholics from nine sub-parishes of All Saints Church in Komothai, Kiambu County.

Remain strong in the Faith

Reminding the faithful that the Bible is full of challenges that God’s people have faced, the prelate asked those present to remain, “strong in the Faith despite the many challenges they will encounter.”

Bible as a reference point

Bishop David Kamau further urged the faithful to make the Bible “the point of reference when it comes to our Faith. The Church is a holy place, and now that you are ‘adults in the Faith’ you are expected to be adults spiritually.”

Catholic schools responsible for high number of confirmations

Finally, the Bishop thanked the local Christians for their commitment in carrying out pastoral development in the locality. According to Father Michael Mungai, who is responsible for the parish in Komothai, the high number of confirmed young people is largely due to the many Catholic schools in the parish. (EPC)
