Pope’s Hospital Top Ranking as the Best in the World

Entitled ‘World Best Specialized Hospitals 2024’, the list includes hundreds of hospitals from all over the world.

Roma – Itália (18/09/2023 16:02, Gaudium Press) The Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli, a hospital located in Rome, is at the top of a ranking of the best specialized hospitals conducted by the US magazine Newsweek, in collaboration with Statista.

‘World Best Specialized Hospitals 2024’

Entitled ‘World Best Specialized Hospitals 2024’, the list confirms the hospital, inaugurated on July 10, 1964 by Pope Paul VI, as the first in Italy in the areas of gastroenterology, pulmonology, gynecology and obstetrics, among other sectors, in which it also stands out internationally.

The Roman hospital is present in 11 of the 12 specialty rankings. For this global survey, tens of thousands of health professionals, doctors and hospital managers are consulted.

International Recognition

The 300 best hospitals in the world in cardiology and oncology, the 250 best in pediatrics, the 150 best in cardiac surgery, endocrinology and gastroenterology, the 125 best in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology and the 100 best hospitals in the world in obstetrics and gynecology all take part in the ranking.

The Director General of the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic Foundation IRCCS, Professor Marco Elefanti, expressed his joy at being at the head of a hospital that receives this kind of international recognition and congratulated the entire hospital community for their daily commitment. (EPC)
