Saint Claude de la Colombiere was a Jesuit priest, confessor of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. Together with her, he was the propagator of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Newsroom (February 16, 2022, 2:30 PM, Gaudium Press) St. Claude de La Colombiere. was born in France in 1641. He joined the Society of Jesus, where he deepened his studies to the point of teaching and became the superior of a Jesuit college.
Piously practicing his priestly service, he became confessor of the convent of Our Lady of the Visitation, where he met St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, who received countless apparitions from Our Lord Jesus Christ. Together with her, he became a great propagator of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
