The Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Ukraine have sent a letter requesting Pope Francis to publicly perform the act of consecration of Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as requested by the Blessed Virgin in Fatima.
Newsroom (02/03/2022 4:20 PM, Gaudium Press) We reproduce the letter sent by the Ukrainian bishops to Pope Francis.
Holy Father!
In these hours of immeasurable pain and terrible trial for our people, we, the Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Ukraine, are spokesmen of the frequent and sincere supplication, supported by our priests and consecrated persons, which reaches us from all the Christian people, for Your Holiness to consecrate our homeland and Russia.
Thus, we humbly ask Your Holiness to publicly perform the act of consecration of Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as requested by the Blessed Virgin in Fatima.
May the Mother of God, Queen of Peace, accept our prayer: Regina pacis, ora pro nobis!
