Vatican Makes Public John Paul I Beatification Date

On October 13, the Holy See officially recognized a miracle through Pope John Paul I intercession: the miraculous healing of an Argentine girl living in a vegetative state.

Newsroom  (26/12/2021 11:30, Gaudium Press): the Congregation for the Causes of Saints has announced the date of the beatification of the “Pope of the Smile”, following the official recognition of a miracle, his intercession.
The beatification ceremony will take place on September 4, 2022 presided by Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Basilica.

Elected successor of Paul VI on August 26, 1978, Pope John Paul I, Albino Luciani, had one of the shortest pontificates in the history of the Church: only 33 days.

John Paul I will be the sixth Pontiff on the way to Sainthood following the steps of Pius X, John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II. (FM)
