Newsdesk (20/09/2022 7:51 PM, Gaudium Press) Last Sunday in Warsaw, more than 10,000 people walked through the streets in the March for Life and Family. The participants were welcomed by President Andrzej Duda.
Similar marches are organized in about 150 locations across the country, adding up to a total of hundreds of thousands of people demonstrating in favor of human life from conception to natural death.
In Warsaw there were people with red and white flags, the colors of the country, and balloons of the same colors.
In a gesture that favored family unity, some couples carried hearts on which they wrote their names and years of marriage.
The phrases on some of the posters were “Life is beautiful,” “Long live children,” or “Fatherhood begins at conception.”
“We are building a great community, a group of people who strongly defend life, marriage and family. We bear public witness that marriage as an institution is extremely valuable. It must be defended, especially today when it is under strong attack and in crisis,” said Paweł Ozdoba, who is responsible for organizing the March and president of the Center for Life and Family.
At the end of the march, there was a Solemn Mass. It was the 17th edition of the event.
