São Paulo, Brazil (Saturday, August 20, 2016, Gaudium Press) A five volume series titled, “The Gift of Wisdom in the Mind, Life and Work of Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira” has just been released by Libreria Editrice Vaticana and Heralds of the Gospel.
Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, EP, founder of Heralds of the Gospel – an international private association of Christ’s faithful of pontifical right – is the author of this work.
The many books by Msgr. Clá Dias, EP have enjoyed enormous success. This five volume series is the latest of his abundant intellectual production usually focusing on matters of the Catholic faith. The author is known for the levity and elegance of his writing style aside from a deep knowledge of the subjects he deals with. He demonstrates an accurate sense of opportunity whenever expounding on a given subject. Throughout his work one will easily find a filial interest and love for the Catholic Church to whom he dedicates the best of his lucidity, talent and love.
Msgr. Scognamiglio C. Dias professes being an ardent disciple, unconditional follower and most attentive observer of Professor Plinio, whom he holds as being more than just a teacher. He is rather the “beloved father, model and guide” deserving volumes of books to deal exclusively on the “prophetic scope” of his Master’s life.
The launching of this work coincides with a memorable event in the author’s life, the 60th anniversary of his meeting Professor Corrêa de Oliveira, on July 7, 1956 at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in São Paulo. As he joyfully describes, this was the start of forty years closest companionship and of a mystical union which will never end…
Filling up ‘hollow spaces’
Much has been written about Dr. Plinio, as he was addressed. Nevertheless, as one reads in the preface of the present work, “some publications present a partial view of his encompassing personality; while others deform his image through a twisted and unreal viewpoint”.
The five volumes of “The Gift of Wisdom in the Mind, Life and Work of Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira” seek to fill out those hollows and complete those gaps.
Msgr. Clá Dias’ work – recognized as the most authorized voice to speak of Dr. Plinio – attempts at devising the correct perspective of what was God’s design for Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira.
Extensive academic preparation
As his thesis ‘extended version’ the author lays out overwhelming amount of historical junctures and teachings of his very own protagonist Professor Corrêa de Oliveira, to provide the public in general with the opportunity of knowing this man who lived throughout the Twentieth Century and left indelible landmarks for the centuries to come.
This published work aims at “offering detailed description of the Holy Spirit’s motions in the soul of Dr. Plinio particularly through the gift of Wisdom” as observed first hand by the author himself.
As of now, editions in Spanish and Portuguese are available. The English and Italian editions will follow. (JSG)
