A way to bring young people closer to vocational discernment
In an interview with ACI Prensa, Father Jesús Castillo, vocational director of the seminary, expressed that the festival was organized so “the faithful come closer and get to know the seminary and the seminarians of Quito.”
In addition, the priest noted the importance of bringing “young people closer to the place where vocational discernment meetings take place.” Currently, the Major Seminary of Saint Joseph has 43 seminarians.
The smallest crib in Quito
The exhibition will remain open to the public until December 22. The event includes monastic and ancient cribs from the 16th and 17th centuries, private and artistic collections, and features the smallest crib in Quito.
Visitors are welcome from from 9 am to 12 noon and from 3 pm to 6.30 pm. The event is free and closes daily with the prayer of the Christmas novena. “Everyone is welcome!” Father Jesús Castillo remarks. (EPC)
