São Paulo (September 26, 2021 11:00 AM, Gaudium Press) The 18th Canon Law Week will take place in São Paulo on October 26, 27 and 28. The event is promoted by the Faculty of Canon Law of São Paulo.
The event will focus on the recent changes made by Pope Francis
Through the Apostolic Constitution ‘Pascite gregem Dei’, Pope Francis reformed Book VI of the Code of Canon Law, for this reason, the theme chosen for this meeting will be exactly the changes made by the pontiff.
All the activities will take place online, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Those interested should register through the website: facdcsp.com.br. The registration fee is 30 reais.
Opening ceremony will be presided over by Cardinal Archbishop of São Paulo
Cardinal Odilo Pedro Scherer, Archbishop of São Paulo and Grand Chancellor of the São Paulo Apostle Canon Law School, will be responsible for presiding over the opening ceremony of the 18th Canon Law Week.
Among the speakers are: the Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Giambattista Diquattro; the Auxiliary Bishop of the Military Ordinariate of Brazil, Bishop José Francisco Falcão; the Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the Interpretation of Legislative Texts, Bishop Juan Ignacio Arrieta; the Bishop of Foz do Iguaçu, Bishop Sérgio de Deus; and the professor of the Faculty of Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Father Dr. Daminán Guilhermo.
