“Bullets Letter” to Pope Francis: Sender Identified

The intentions behind the mysterious mail piece are still unknown.

Newsroom (August 10, 2021 5:14 PM Gaudium Press) The Italian newspaper Il Messagero reports that a man who sent the Pope an envelope containing three 9mm bullets has been identified.

The perpetrator is said to be already known to Vatican security while the Milan carabinieri (police) are assessing his dangerousness.

In the past, the same individual has sent other letters to the Vatican. Investigations focus on his location, for whether he is in France or at St. Peter’s Square in Rome change the level of the threat.

The envelope, posted from France, also contained a receipt for a 10 euro bank deposit. The intentions behind the mysterious mail piece are still unknown.
