Panjim – India (30/07/2024 16:57, Gaudium Press) In response to Pope Francis’ call for a Year of Prayer leading up to the Jubilee of 2025, the Catholic Church in India has begun the release of the first four volumes of a series entitled ‘Prayer Guidance for the Holy Year 2025.’
Eight volumes Compilation
The launch ceremony took place in Panjim, at the house of Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India. The series is composed of eight volumes, each based on stories and perceptions of revered Saints, illuminating the central role of prayer in the life of the contemporary Church.
Reflective guide on the power of prayer
The publication will serve as an introduction and reflective guide on the transformative power of prayer to find and experience the love of God. Furthermore, the works aim to offer readers an in-depth exploration of prayer in various forms, highlighting the writings of the Saints and providing practical guidance for engaging in meaningful conversations with God.
Vital resource for personal and community prayer
The proposal is for this collection to become a vital resource for personal and community prayer, addressing the needs of Bishops, priests, deacons, catechists, and the faithful community in general. This prayer guide is designed to be a crucial tool for those seeking to enrich their spiritual journey and deepen their prayer practices. (EPC)
