The incident took place at the church in San Jose de los Arroyos, east of Asuncion.

Newsdesk (October 21, 2020, Gaudium Press) —  Today, Wednesday, the parishioners of San Jose de Los Arroyos, east of Asuncion in Paraguay, were confronted by the sinister spectacle of a burned image of the Virgin, the tabernacle opened and the hosts spread.

Among the aired hypotheses, one speaks of a satanic type ritual in the temple, probably at dawn.

Other church components were also found scattered, which would indicate that the vandals were looking for another image.

The police continue to review the incident.
