Fatima: Seven Important Quotes You Should Read

On May 13, the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

Newsroom (13/05/2022 2:00 PM, Gaudium Press) On May 13, 1917, Our Lady appeared at Fatima, Portugal, to three little shepherds: Lucia de Jesus, Francisco Marto and Jacinta Marto (the latter two were Lucia’s cousins).

They were accompanying a flock of sheep and decided to stop and recite the Holy Rosary. It was at this moment that Our Lady appeared to them.

As they narrate, she was enveloped in an intense light brighter than the sun. Our Lady asked them for prayers, sacrifices and reparation for the offences committed against her Immaculate Heart.

In the end, Our Lady asked the little shepherds to continue gathering there to pray the Rosary for the next five months, always on the 13th at noon, promising to appear to them again.

During her apparitions, Our Lady of Fatima revealed secrets that remained hidden for a long time, some of which were only revealed later by Sister Lucia. The message of Fatima talks about the conversion of Russia and the persecution suffered by the Church.

Phrases of Our Lady of Fatima

01 – “Pray the Rosary every day. Pray, pray a lot! And make sacrifices for sinners, that many souls go to Hell, because there is no one to sacrifice and ask for them.”

02 – “When you pray the Rosary, say after each mystery: O my good Jesus, forgive us and deliver us from the fire of Hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who need it most.”

03 – “God wants to establish devotion to My Immaculate Heart in the world. If you do what I tell you, many souls will be saved and you will have peace.”

04 – “My heart surrounded by thorns that ungrateful men pierce Me, with blasphemies and ingratitude.”

05 – “No longer offend God Our Lord, who is already much offended.”

06 – “My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the path that will lead you to God.”

07 – “If you heed My requests, Russia will be converted and you will have peace; if not, it will spread its errors throughout the world, promoting wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima

Virgin of Fatima, Mother of God and our Mother, intercede and pray for us with your Son, that we may be worthy to obtain the grace we ask of you. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus graciously hears the pleas of Mary, full of grace, so that through her intercession, we may obtain the favour requested if it is for your greater honour and glory and the good of our souls. Amen. (EPC)
