Newsroom (05/03/2025 Gaudium Press) The Shroud of Turin exhibition is an exciting and unique event that will be hosted at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist of the Florentines in Rome. The event will offer an exclusive opportunity to examine a faithful reproduction of the Shroud, one of the most iconic and sacred religious artifacts in Christianity. This exhibition is an essential stop during the Jubilee of Hope and is open for those wishing to explore the mystery of the Shroud of Turin.

A Historic Intersection: The Jubilee and the Shroud

This year, the Shroud of Turin exhibition coincides with the Jubilee of Hope, creating a significant intersection of history, faith, and devotion. Organized by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (APRA), the exhibition will feature an exact replica of the famous linen cloth, originally preserved in Turin, Italy. Visitors will have the chance to contemplate this symbol of Christian faith up close and engage with its profound spiritual meaning.

Details of the Shroud of Turin Exhibition and Conference

The exhibition, which opens on March 10 at 6:00 PM, will run until June 10. It is part of the university’s calendar dedicated to the Jubilee of Hope. The opening night will also feature the conference titled “Shroud: Between Science and Faith,” where leading scholars will discuss the Shroud’s connection to both scientific inquiry and religious belief. Keynote speakers include Emanuela Marinelli, an expert sindonologist, and Fr. Rafael Pascual, a leading researcher on the Shroud.

A Silent Witness to Faith: The Power of the Shroud

Fr. Rafael Pascual emphasizes that the Shroud of Turin exhibition is not just about observing a piece of cloth but immersing oneself in the deep spiritual and historical journey it represents. Especially during Lent, as we approach Easter, this exhibition provides a chance for visitors to reflect on the mystery of the Shroud. It offers a silent yet powerful opportunity for visitors to engage with the significant question of “Who is the Man of the Shroud?”
