The Pontifical Mission Societies, are promoting a Webinar on October 12 and 13, to show and discuss evangelizing missions in Central Asia.
Vatican City (Friday 08/10/2021 12:00 PM, Gaudium Press) On the month dedicated to the Mission, a webinar under the title “The evangelizing Mission in Central Asia at the time of Evangelii Gaudium: context, difficulties and perspectives,” will discuss missionary initiatives.
The event opens with an inaugural address by the President of the Pontifical Mission Societies (OPM), Monsignor Giampietro dal Toso. He will showcase the activities of the Mission Societies.
The online event is scheduled to last for an average of three hours each day.
Among others, Most Rev. Adelio Dell’Oro, Bishop of Karaganda in Kazakhstan will present numbers and data on the Missions in Asia. Also, Fr. Jerzy Maculewicz, O.F.M. Conv, apostolic administrator of Uzbekistan, will present on the three decades of the Missions in the country.
Fr. Leopold Kropfreiter SJM, National Director of the OPM in Kazakhstan, will discuss the presence and role of the Missionary Works in the Asian country.
Tadeusz Nowak OMI, Secrétaire Général de l’Œuvre Pontificale de la Propagation de la Foi (OPPF), will close the first day of the Webinar with practical advice for developing Missions in Central Asia.
The second day will feature a conference by the Secretary General of the Pontifical Missionary Union, Father Dinh Anh Nhue Nguyen OFMConv, on the topic: “The Missionary between proclamation of the Gospel and charitable activity’, followed by a presentation on the Missions in Mongolia by Monsignor Giorgio Marengo IMC, Apostolic Prefect in Mongolia. Several other conferences and presentations are scheduled to take place during the webinar.
The event is entirely free and will be hosted on the digital platform Kudo. (FM)
