Union with Jesus is acquired when the path is chosen through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Newsdesk (June 14, 2021 7:30 AM, Gaudium Press) It would be absurd to imagine that Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart is not more merciful than the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
However, Her Immaculate Heart makes us see the mercy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus more than Himself.
It would be like when the Sun’s rays are concentrated through a lens and set a dry leaf on fire. The lens is so tiny compared to the Sun; without it, that fire would not catch.
So the Immaculate Heart of Mary would be, as it were, a lens of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a kind of concentration of the mercy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
So, she, under this aspect, has a degree of super-excellent mercy. Furthermore, Mary Most Holy is particularly our advocate since, being a mere creature, she is more fully connatural to us than her Divine Son who, as Man-God, is a judge.
For these reasons, we could say that the Immaculate Heart of Mary represents the goodness and mercy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in a broad and glorious sense.
